Mid-America Charity Horse Show (September 2-3 at Longview Horse Park) Update:
Class No 1, the Fine Harness class has been moved to the first class on Saturday night. This class will be part of a celebration for Maggie Van Meter, a favorite long-time horse show photographer. The presentation of this class will include the awarding of a new perpetual trophy by Maretta Kennedy, and a special performance of Amazing Grace. Exhibitors are being asked to bring a favorite photo by Maggie to the show to share.
The $500 Five-Gaited Open class will be held in memory of Landon Rowland, another huge loss to our horse show community.
Other changes in the show schedule: Class 27x will be the UPHA Exceptional Challenge Cup W/T with Assistance class, and 63x will be the fun class (no entry fee), Texting While Trotting.
