Dear Members of MHSA and Horse Community:
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our MHSA President, Stacy Wright. Words cannot describe our sadness as we mourn her loss as a fellow horse woman, leader, friend, and family member. On behalf of our board and membership, we extend our deepest condolences to her family and friends in the wake of her untimely passing.
Stacy’s contribution to MHSA extended beyond her leadership. She was one of MHSA’s biggest cheerleaders and supporters. She worked tirelessly wearing many hats to help the organization succeed, and for that, we will be forever grateful. From maintaining the website to garnering new members and shows, Stacy was always ready to pitch in wherever needed.
To honor Stacy’s love for MHSA, and her lifelong passion for horses and learning, the board is proud to announce the renaming of the MHSA college scholarship to be the Stacy Wright Memorial Scholarship. Each year, this scholarship provides one recipient with funds to be used at the college or university of their choice. To make donations to this cause in honor of Stacy, contributions can be made payable to MHSA (please add a note that it is for scholarship), and sent to:
