The Gateway Harness Club is a group of carriage driving enthusiasts located in the St. Louis metro and surrounding areas in Missouri and Illinois. They participate in and promote educational, fun and safe driving activities. Events include pleasure drives at local parks and farms, fun shows, field trips, and clinics.
Gateway Harness Club is sponsoring a Teach Your Horse to Drive Clinic at Equilink Stables in Marthasville, MO on April 7 from 9am to 2 pm. This is an auditing clinic only, and horses from Equilink will be used for demonstrations. These demonstrations will include long lining, ground driving, and simulating shafts. Driving equipment will also be discussed. There will be opportunities for hands on practice. The cost is $25 for an individual, which includes the clinic, lunch, and membership in the club. Or, you can bring the whole family for $25 and only pay an additional $5 per extra person for lunch.
