Julie Block, 62 of Huntsville, Missouri, passed away January 31, 2014 at her family’s home.
Julie was born January 9, 1952 in Moberly, Missouri, to William H.”Bill” Block and Margaret Block. Julie was the longtime secretary of the Huntsville Horse Show.
An accomplished organist, Julie played the organ for the First Christian Church of Huntsville for many years. She is best remembered by members of the horse show community for her lively renditions from center ring at the Huntsville Horse Show. Julie loved the horses and the exhibitors. Along with her mother, Margaret, she dedicated herself to her hometown horse show, year after year.
Julie loved her family and had a passion for helping children. She spent the last 30 years of her life as a social worker for the Division of Family Services. Never without her signature smile, Julie spent her lifetime on this earth making life a better place for all those who knew her.
Visitation and service were held in Huntsville on February 2nd and 3rd, with burial in the Huntsville cemetery.
