The Show Horse & Pony Council of MHSA and the MHSA Medallion Committee announce a change to the qualifying procedure for the MHSA Medallion Finals effective IMMEDIATELY. In order to qualify for the Saddle Seat Finals held in September at the St. Louis National Charity Horse Show, and the Stock Seat Medallion Finals, time and place to be determined, riders will only need to ride in ONE MHSA Medallion class to qualify. This decision was made at the suggestion of a concerned party and was thoroughly discussed by the necessary committees. It was unanimously decided that, with the cost of showing, busy schedules of many barns and riders, and the lack of shows available to qualify, that it is in the best interest of all involved to immediately change the qualification requirement from showing in two classes to one class in order to qualify.
We are hopeful that everyone will support and understand our decision. Our goal is to grow the Medallion program as much as possible while making the process as fun and easy as possible for our exhibitors. This change will take place immediately and will be included in the rules of MHSA. If you have any questions or concerns about this change, please contact the Chair of the Show Horse & Pony Council, Lynn Frazee, or the Medallion Secretary, Sarah Thomas.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to cheering you on at the Medallion Finals!
